The Reenactors of New England present The Pine Forest, an immersive medieval village experience, bringing centuries of history to life in the heart of Armidale. Through a living village timeline featuring display tents, traditional crafts, tools and historical interpretation, visitors can explore medieval Europe from the 7th to the 15th centuries.

Participating groups include NEMAS (Anglo-Saxons), Ringerike (11th-century Norse mercenaries), Knights of the Empire Germanica (Crusader knights), the New England School of Sword (medieval Italian martial arts), and the New England Renegades Bohurt Team.

Historical demonstrations and armoured combat performances throughout the evening offer a dynamic and engaging journey into the medieval world.

Many thanks to the Armidale Men’s Shed who teamed up with the New England Reenactors to build the combat ring especially for the event.
