New England Garden Festival

A vibrant, two-day celebration of gardening, sustainability and community, the New England Garden Festival brings together growers, makers and green thumbs of all levels.

This year’s festival will be headlined by ABC Gardening Australia co-hosts Hannah Moloney and Jerry Coleby-Williams—marking the first time the event has featured two high-profile gardening experts, reflecting its continued growth since launching in 2023.

Across the weekend, Hannah and Jerry will lead hands-on workshops, talks and Q&A sessions, sharing practical advice on:

  • Cool-climate and dry gardening

  • Growing food during a changing climate

  • Sustainable practices such as using grey water effectively

Visitors will also have the chance to meet the presenters, ask questions, and gain one-on-one insights, as well as attend a special session with Hannah on her book Why We Garden, with book signings available.

  • Up to 100 stallholders featuring plants, tools, art and garden-related products

  • Workshops for all ages and experience levels

  • Food vendors with local produce and intercultural offerings

  • Live entertainment from local performers

  • Garden tours (weather and conditions permitting)

Run by volunteers, this much-loved non-profit festival attracts up to 5,000 visitors, with proceeds supporting local charities.
